Artists' Fellowships
Artists' Fellowships are $7,000 cash awards made to individual originating artists living and working in the state of New York for unrestricted use. Grants are awarded in 15 artistic disciplines, with applications accepted in five categories each year. Since the fellowship program's inception in 1984, NYFA has awarded over $24 million to over 3,700 artists. In 2010, NYFA awarded 115 Fellowships to 118 artists, with three of them working in a collaboration.

The Guidelines for the 2011 application are available by clicking on the link in the grey box above. The 2011 online application will be available on September 27, 2010.

2010 Fellowship awardees and panelists will have been anounced and are listed here.

To be eligible for a NYFA Fellowship, applicants must be a resident of New York State for at least two years prior to the application deadline and cannot be enrolled in a degree program of any kind.
