Spring 2005
NYFA Quarterly's final issue

June 2005

Dear NYFA Quarterly readers,

As you know, last year NYFA Quarterly became a subscription-based magazine, a change necessitated by the severe financial pressures that arts organizations around the country -- and in New York City especially -- have faced these past few years. We were delighted that many readers who had received NYFA Quarterly for free enthusiastically decided to subscribe. Unfortunately, even that show of support wasn’t enough to sustain the magazine, and it is with great sadness that we write to inform you that NYFA Quarterly ceased publication with its spring 2005 issue.

NYFA remains committed to providing artists with a unique blend of practical and theoretical information about the arts, and much of the kind information that was published in NYFA Quarterly will continue to appear on NYFA’s website. Arts coverage can be found in NYFA Current, a free semi-monthly digest that now features a special section filled with practical information for working artists. Deadlines for competitions can be found in NYFA Source, a free database of awards, services, and publications available to artists nationwide. Classified advertisements for jobs in the arts, opportunities for artists, and event listings are also available on our website, and the guidelines and application for NYFA’s Artists’ Fellowships will be available there as well.

Again, we are very grateful for your support of NYFA Quarterly, and for your continued support of NYFA.
